| DEMOS | Christian Girard (born 1960) founded HiTIS – life science & biotech intelligence in 2003. Precedently, he has been a co-founder and the Chief Editor of Biotech & Co., a biotech industry monthly publication. Girard is both a serial entrepreneur and a medtech and biotech industry veteran. In these industries, his responsibilities covered area and national sales and marketing responsibilities of innovative human and veterinary surgery products (at Deknatel Snowden Pencer), as well as cutting-edge cell therapies (at Genzyme). Christian began his career as the co-founder of an executive search and M&A consulting practice. He holds a degree in management from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris (today ESCP-EAP), one of the most reputed french business schools. | |||

| Pierre Hamon, MD, MSc, (born 1963) is an orthopaedic surgeon at Institut de l’Appareil Locomoteur Nollet, Paris. He specializes in Sports & Knee Surgery and is a Medical Consultant to the French National Soccer Training School at Clairefontaine. His training and clinical experience provide him with an outstanding expertise in the fields of bone healing process, cartilage repair and knee ligament surgery, as well as a fundamental approach to most osteo-articular topics. Dr. Hamon trained at the Center for Traumatology in Strasbourg, France (CTO), and completed his residency at the Knee & Sports Surgery Department headed by Pr. Jean-Henry Jaeger at Strasbourg University Teaching Hospital (Hospices Civils de Strasbourg). Concurrently, from 1989 to 1995, Dr. Hamon was a collaborator (and a fellow in 1991) at AO-ASIF Research Institute in Davos (Switzerland), developing new instrumentation for intramedullary osteotomies, leading to a Master of Surgical Science in Biomaterials and Biomechanics. Most recently, Dr. Hamon has been a consultant for a major US biopharma in the field of autologous cartilage cell therapy. Dr. Hamon has been a member of the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS) since its foundation in 1997. Dr. Hamon is our Scientific and Medical Advisor in the field of orthopaedics. | ||||
